Annie Freeman is originally from Upstate New York, but she has lived in Atlanta since the age of five. She grew up playing at Brookfield Country Club in Roswell where she was a highly decorated junior player. She was Captain of the National Championship Team at Marist High School and attended Marquette University to study engineering.
In addition to continuing to play tennis recreationally, Annie has worked in the tennis industry since 1996. She was the pro shop manager at Berkley Hills Country Club where she gained valuable experience in managing all areas of tennis club operations, including stringing, pricing, accounting, branding, and marketing.
Annie and her husband, Chris have been married for 10 years. They have a seven-year-old daughter Maddux and fur babies Moses, Shadow and Bowie. In her free time, Annie volunteers at the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children. She also enjoys Atlanta sports, playing tennis, going to the beach and watching movies.
DIRECTOR OF THE JUNIOR HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
EMILY ZABOR, USPTA
Emily Zabor leads the development and growth of Agape Tennis Academy’s Junior High Performance Program. Coach Emily comes to Agape from Jones Bridge Swim and Tennis Club in Norcross, GA where she served as the Director of Tennis. Before Jones Bridge Swim and Tennis Club, Emily was the Director of High Performance at ATI Tennis Academy in Marietta, GA.
Coach Emily is a USPTA Certified Professional and a USTA High Performance Coach who specializes in developing youth and adult players who seek success in tennis. Her work ethic, knowledge, and experience have been paramount in helping Emily develop many high level athletes. Emily was the #1 singles player for Walton High School’s tennis dynasty (the winningest sports team in Georgia history with 147 consecutive dual match wins). Additionally, Emily played four years of Division I collegiate tennis at the University of Alabama and was part of the SEC Championship Women’s tennis team. Emily was a scholarship player at the University of Alabama, graduated in 4 years with a master’s degree in Marketing, and was also a recipient of the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award. This award is the athletic department’s highest esteem which goes to one male and one female student-athlete who achieves excellence in athletics, academics, and community service. Coach Emily was a High School and College Division 1 All American and an SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Coach Emily brings Agape Tennis Academy a multitude of strengths, including a strong mindset of cultivating work ethic, discipline, and teamwork into high performance junior players. These traits while important as an athlete, are also invaluable to human development and to a player’s enjoyment of sport throughout their lives.

CALVIN KEMP, PTR
Coach Calvin is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and grew up playing tennis. Calvin is one of the most successful junior players to come out of the state of Georgia. He was one of the top ranked juniors in the country and competed in the junior US Open Championships. He went on the play Division I collegiate tennis for Georgia State University. He was recognized at the Georgia Dome for the biggest turnaround of a Division I team in the history of the NCAA. He was twice named Sun Belt Collegiate Conference Player of the Week. He has competed in and won many national and international tennis tournaments. After his playing career, Calvin began coaching. He was part of Donald Young’s team when Mr. Young reached his highest ATP career ranking of #35 in the world.
Calvin studied business and finance in college and eventually started and ran a successful tennis academy in Atlanta, Georgia. Recently, Calvin has decided to come on the Agape team full time as a Coach and Business Manager. He is proficient in leadership, communication and organizational structure.

SARAH WITHERSPOON, PTR
Coach Sarah doubles as the Tennis Coordinator at John Drew Smith Tennis Center. She started playing tennis over 15 years ago when her daughter, Jasi was learning how to play. Tennis quickly became her passion. She has advanced quickly over the years and now her passion is to help others learn this lifetime sport. Coach Sarah loves to introduce the game to beginner juniors and adults. Coach Sarah is also a district representative for USTA Georgia.
EMMANUEL AWOYEYE, PTR
Coach Emmanuel was born in Nigeria where he first learned to play tennis. He moved to the United States when he was 9 years old. He grew up playing junior tennis where he led his high school to the Elite 8, two years in a row. He played for Rutland High School in Macon, Georgia.
After an accomplished junior career, Emmanuel began coaching. He has been coaching in the Middle Georgia area for the past seven years. He is passionate about coaching and sharing his love for the sport with others. His focus is on developing players with the proper fundamentals, so they have a strong foundation to achieve at all levels. Coach Emmanuel is experienced with players of all ages and levels. He is certified with the Professional Tennis Registry and with USTA, Net Generation.

Coach Jasi, otherwise known as “Coach J” has been playing tennis for 18 years. Jasi had a highly successful junior career. She played number 1 singles all four years for Howard High School. After a decorated junior career, Coach Jasi went on to play college tennis at Barry University. During her freshmen year, her team won the NCAA DII Nationals. She graduated with a degree in Psychology.
She has been full time for over three years. Coach J specializes in all ages 5-18 and can coach all levels from beginners to highly advanced. She has also been a hitting coach for high performance, college, and tournament players. Coach J loves teaching and playing tennis and wants to bring the same joy tennis has given her to her students. and hopes to bring that level of enjoyment to all of her students! She believes, “tennis is very competitive, but it should also very fun and I want to do whatever I can to make my students reach their full potential. You go as far as you allow yourself to go.”
Coach Clara Desbiolles is from France and has been playing tennis since she was 5 years old. She experienced much success as a junior player in France, competing in the Junior French Championship with her high school team. Coach Clara decided to continue her career and play collegiate tennis in the United States. She
played two years of tennis in a community college in Arizona and graduated with an Associate Degree in Childhood Education. She earned the Player of the Year Award for the State of Arizona during her time in college. Coach Clara transferred to continue to Middle Georgia State University where she is continuing her collegiate tennis career and pursuing a Bachelor degree in Child Psychology. Her education helps to make her an understanding, compassionate, and caring tennis coach.
Coach Clara is a happy, dynamic, and energetic person. She does her best to share and influence her positive energy and passion to her tennis students. She has worked with junior players of all ages in groups, camps, and individually.
Coach Margot Fontaine is an experienced and accomplished player from France. She has been playing tennis since she was 7 years old. She was one of the top ranked juniors in France and travelled throughout Europe competing in tournaments.
Coach Margot came to the United States to pursue higher education and to play collegiate tennis on a scholarship. She played two years of tennis at Cowley College before transferring to Middle Georgia State University. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Aviation and Management as well as continuing her tennis career for the college team. Coach Margot is going into her senior year of college. She is experienced coaching players of all ages and levels.
Coach Carlos Anez is originally from Valencia, Venezuela. He has been playing tennis since the age of six. He was the number 1 ranked player in Venezuela for 3 consecutive years before coming to the United States to play collegiate tennis. Coach Carlos competed in professional tournaments (ITF Futures), and earned an ATP ranking. He was 1502 in the world. As a junior he earned a world ITF ranking of 900. Coach Carlos decided to pursue collegiate tennis and was awarded an athletic scholarship with Seward County Community College. He had a an incredibly successful collegiate career with a winning record in singles and doubles each year. Additionally, he won the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Regionals in the fall of 2016 and one week later won the ITA Nationals Championship.
After he graduated from SCCC, Coach Carlos transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Again, he played at the top of the line up in both singles and doubles. He won the GAC conference tournament and lead his team to one of the most successful seasons they have had. During the 2017-2018 season, he won the awards for GAC Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, GAC First-team All-Conference, and team Most Valuable Player of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. His highest ITA rankings were #10 in singles and #7 in doubles. Coach Carlos is currently at Middle Georgia State University and is helping as a volunteer assistant coach.
Coach Geoffrey is originally from Crawfordville, Georgia and currently lives in Macon, Georgia. He graduated from Fort Valley State University. While he enrolled at FVSU, he was a member of the Men’s’ Tennis Team for four years. After a successful collegiate academic and athletic career, Coach Geoffrey attended and graduated from Mercer University’s Pharmacy School. Coach Geoffrey is a pharmacist as well as a tennis coach. He is excited to share his passion of coaching with everyone and seeks to help adult and junior players to continually learn and improve. His coaching philosophy is to work hard and have fun.
Fun facts: Coach Geoffrey has a 2 year old son named Noah and loves history.
Coach TJ is a native of Peach County and attended Peach County High School. He has played high level competitive sports his entire life. Coach TJ played competitive junior tennis, high school tennis, and eventually collegiate tennis at Fort Valley State University. Coach TJ has continued to coach and play tennis after college and has won ALTA City Finals. He is an all court player and enjoys helping students develop all aspects of their games. His coaching philosophy is to help players become multi-dimensional in their strokes and strategies as well as thoughtful in their pattern recognition, not only of themselves, but of their opponents. He enjoys coaching players of all ages and levels and is excited to help you reach your potential as a player. Coach TJ is very outgoing, fun, energetic, and passionate about coaching tennis.
Fun fact: He is also a competitive basketball player and is a Novak Djokovic fanatic.
GREG SPICER, PPR
Coach Greg is certified by the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR). Coach Greg is experienced and continues to experience success as a player on the pickleball circuit. He has had considerable success as a tournament player, often teaming up with fellow Agape PPR Pro Paul Midkiff at doubles.
Despite his success, he continues to study as a coach and player to stay abreast of the latest and greatest pickleball trends. Gearbox Sports has selected him as a member of its next Team Gearbox tournament roster.
Coach Greg is passionate about pickleball! If he’s not on the court coaching, playing, or drilling, odds are you can find him watching another pickleball training video. He has practiced law, worked as a business analyst in corporate America, and taught high school English, but coaching pickleball is his calling. He loves to work with all levels of players, from beginners to tournament players. He is enthusiastic about helping you reach your potential and to enjoy this lifetime sport to the fullest!
